Individual Therapy

Individual sessions focus on accepting our thoughts and feelings rather than attempting to change or eliminate them. During individual sessions, we encourage individuals to identify their values and commit to actions aligned with those values, promoting psychological flexibility. We incorporate mindfulness techniques to help individuals remain present in the moment and observe their thoughts without judgment. The importance of accepting discomfort and moving towards valued goals, fostering a more adaptive and meaningful life is emphasized. ACT (Acceptance and Commitment therapy) or Solution Focused Therapy is utilized to effectively treat various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and chronic pain.

Couples Therapy

Couples sessions are primarily centered around ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). ACT integrates the principles of psychological flexibility into relationship dynamics. It encourages partners to accept each other's thoughts and feelings without judgment, fostering a more compassionate and understanding connection. In our sessions we take accountability, discuss expectations, and have open dialogue about the relationship. We tackle a wide array of challenges together, from communication breakdowns and trust issues to infidelity and intimacy concerns. Each session is an opportunity for growth and understanding, as we work towards strengthening the relationship and equipping clients with the necessary tools to navigate challenges collaboratively. But don’t worry! Here's the thing – therapy doesn't have to be all serious and somber. We firmly believe in making the process enjoyable and engaging. We laugh, learn, explore and we grow together. Groups are led by a Certified Mental Health and Nutrition Practitioner. We Explore Holistic Strategies Like Healthier Eating, Herbal Supplementation, Stress-Busting Movement, the mind/body connection and a variety of other strategies. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for guiding individuals on their journey towards healing and creating the life they desire – a life that encompasses physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. I earned my degree with a specialization in clinical mental health from the University of Maryland, laying the foundation for my commitment to compassionate and effective therapeutic interventions.

I believe in the power of therapeutic work, and it's my pleasure to assist you in your path to personal growth. I teach my clients that therapy is a collaborative effort, and you can only reap the benefits based on the effort you invest. But don't worry, we will proceed at your pace, respecting your unique journey.

I specialize in helping individuals overcome and cope with trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief. These are complex challenges that can weigh us down, but with the right support and approach, you can navigate through them, heal, and emerge empowered.
